OFFICE TRIP TO VENICE BIENNALE 2018

The Venice Biennale in 2018 - Freespace - was curated by the Irish duo Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, who are also founders of Grafton Architects. The Swiss Pavillon won the Golden Lion, and it was definitely a highlight amongst the national pavilions at Giardina. The German - Unbuilding Walls - and the Belgian - Eurotopie - were also very captvating. The Holy See pavilion and its Vatican Chapels were surely the top attraction at this Biennale. It was a unique opportunity to contemplate and compare buildings designed by names like Norman Foster, Sean Godsell, Jávier Corvalan and the Brazilian Carla Juaçaba.
