This sculptural concrete element was conceived as a multifunctional outdoor object combining a kitchen, grill and shower for Winkelhaus. The design emerged from a deeply analog process: its shape was developed through a series of handcrafted clay models, allowing the final form to evolve intuitively trough touch and material exploration. The selected clay model was then transferred into the digital realm through high-precision 3D scanning and computationally refined while preserving the tactile qualities and imperfections of the original piece. Using the resulting 3D model, SAEKI robotics generated a robotically fabricated 3D-printed formwork using the Hollow-Core (HC3DP) Technology developed at ETH Zurich. This "project within the project" reflects estudio kmmk's interest in the intersection between craftsmanship, material experimentation and advanced technologies. It bridges the primal human act of shaping clay by hand with the precision of robotic production, while simultaneously exploring how emerging digital construction methods can transition from academic research into real architectural application. Currently under construction, with the concrete casting being realised by CREABETON and completion scheduled for the first semester of 2026.
